American Apparel has bagged a US Department of Defense contract to supply combat uniforms coats for the country's armed forces.
The total amount of the deal is US $55.7 million and has been awarded to the American Apparel plant located in Selma, Alabama.
The contract has been awarded by the Defense Supply Center at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The firm has other plants at Mississippi, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
