Consequently, the German textile and clothing industry is expecting not only an approx. 5% increase in turnover but also a rising, high-level propensity to invest. The German market, in particular, is proving a growth engine in Europe, the association says. In any case MUNICH FABRIC START is geared up. A glance at the innovations:

organic selection:
NEW: The Common ”Green” Thread running from Fabrics to Exhibitors
NEW: Personal Service
Providing helpful guidance for trade visitors through the “green jungle” is the organic selection forum in Hall 4 and the ECO Village on the secondFLOOR. Featuring some 400 fabrics from over 60 exhibitors the organic selection forum will once again become the central information pool for the sustainable and ecological ranges from all exhibitors at MUNICH FABRIC START, starting with fabrics made of organic cotton through to ones made of recycled chemical fibres.

With the trade fair's own certification system demonstrating how ecologically sound the goods displayed here are its attendant guidance system – from the fabric swatches in the forum to the stand of the relevant producer – has now been set up. This means at the forthcoming fair organic selection logos and designations will run like a common “green“ thread from the forum to exhibitors' stands which are also marked with the organic selection logo.

Here, too, the swatches feature organic selection tabs and logos. This means trade visitors will be able to find their “green” exhibitors more quickly and easily right from the forum. Furthermore, all designations and the organic selection guidance system are featured again in the trade fair Messeguide.

As usual, experts will be on hand at the forum with help and advice should any questions arise. But that's not all. MUNICH FABRIC START has been able to enlist the support of two insiders on the topic of ecology and sustainability in the form of Jana Kern and Alex Vogt. These specialists will personally assist trade visitors and, if necessary, link them up direct with the ECO Village on the secondFLOOR. This way MUNICH FABRIC START joins the individual building blocks of its green service system into a stable network saving visitors time and energy and focusing even more strongly on their individual needs.
