Tesco is slashing prices on all laptops and on all adults' clothing lines by 20% - which means that in effect Tesco is giving customers a VAT-Free deal. The price cuts were started Wednesday 26th January and will be available in store and online at its website.

The deals will come at a great time for customers looking to refresh their wardrobes with Spring 2011 fashions – without paying the Spring 2011 VAT rate. And laptops are increasingly a feature of everyday communication, so more customers than ever before look for brilliant deals on technology.

Kari Daniels, Tesco's non-food marketing director, said: 'Tesco's 20 per cent off savings mean VAT-Free shopping – whether that's on luxuries like a fashionable jacket or lovely lingerie – or basics to make their lives easier such as laptops. We've got lots of bargains on a range of products – and customers can expect more from us in the coming weeks.'
