Hart Stores Inc announces that Michael Hart has stepped down as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Hart Stores Inc.
Effective immediately Mr Harry Hart, Executive Chairman of Hart Stores Inc, will replace Michael Hart and oversee the operations of Hart Stores Inc. Michael Hart will remain with the Company for a sufficient time period so as to effect an orderly transition and the handover of responsibilities.
The Company thanks him for his many years of service and the valuable contributions he has made to the growth of Hart Stores Inc. We wish him well and continued success in all his future endeavours.
Hart Stores Inc. operates a network of 92 mid-sized department stores under the Hart, Bargain Giant and Géant des Aubaines banners. The stores are located in secondary and tertiary markets throughout Eastern Canada where the Company has established a dominant position in many of the communities that it serves.
