Page Industries posts total income of ₹291 cr in Q1 FY21

Page Industries Ltd, an India-based manufacturer of garment, has reported decrease in its total income to ₹290.85 crore during the first quarter (Q1) FY21 ended on June 30, 2020, compared to ₹551.17 crore in the same period previous year. Company incurred a loss for the period of ₹39.55 crore compared to profit of ₹110.66 crore in Q1 FY20.

“While this quarter saw a significant impact of the Covid-19 lockdowns, the operations partially resumed from May. We are witnessing an increasing trend of sales with greater demand in e-commerce and athleisure product category,” Sunder Genomal, managing director at Page Industries, said in a press release.

Total expenses for the quarter was ₹343.23 crore (₹670.59 crore). Loss before tax were ₹52.37 crore compared to profit before tax of ₹169.86 crore in Q1 FY20.
