Robust growth in global trade of women's or girls' suits

The global trade of women's or girls' suits (knitted and crocheted) has shown a strong increase over the previous year. The total trade increased 40.92 per cent from the year 2018 to 2019, according to data from TexPro. The global trade of women’s or girls’ suits which was $87.97 million in 2017, has moved up to $123.97 million in 2019.
 
The total trade of women’s or girls’ suits is anticipated to rise $186.16 million in 2022 with a CAGR of 14.51 per cent from 2019, according to Fibre2Fashion's market analysis tool TexPro.
 
The global export of women’s or girls’ suits was $58.40 million in 2017, which jumped 28.67 per cent to $75.15 million in 2019. Total exports increased 64.61 per cent in 2019 over the previous year and is expected to further to rise $109.68 million in 2022 with a CAGR of 13.43 per cent from 2019.
 
The global import value of women’s or girls’ suits was $36.19 million in 2017, which was risen by 34.89 per cent to $48.82 million in 2019. Total imports increased 15.36 per cent in 2019 over the previous year and is expected to climb to $76.48 million in 2022 with a rate of 16.14 per cent from 2019.
 
Greece ($12.65 million), UK ($9.34 million), Russia ($9.22 million) and Indonesia ($5.41 million) were the key exporters of women’s or girls’ suits across the globe in 2019, together comprising 48.73 per cent of total export. These were followed by China ($4.93 million), Sri Lanka ($3.78 million) and Turkey ($3.62 million).
 
From 2015 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of export value, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Greece (1677.18 per cent) and Indonesia (247.57 per cent).
 
UK ($15.11 million), US ($3.63 million), Netherlands ($3.23 million) and Germany ($2.82 million) are the key importers of women’s or girls’ suits across the globe in 2019, contributing 50.76 per cent of total import. It was followed by Greece ($2.57 million), Ireland ($1.78 million) and Bulgaria ($1.70 million).
 
From 2015 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of import value, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by UK (76.06 per cent) and US (36.47 per cent).
