Vietnam’s Sacombank recently signed an agreement with the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) to support the latter's activities to boost the textile and garment sector. It will advise and offer credit at preferential interest rates and financial and banking solutions to help enterprises optimise business activities and strengthen competitiveness.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Phan Dinh Tue, deputy chief executive officer of Sacombank, said both sides can together wait for the opportunities brought by the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, according to a Vietnamese newspaper report.

VITAS chairman Vu Duc Giang said the association would support the bank and offer consultancy for projects related to the textile and garment industry.
