Shangying Global acquires Oneworld Star for $280mn

Chinese company Shangying Global has entered the US market by purchasing Oneworld Star International (OSI), a global designer, merchandiser and manufacturer of apparel for babies and kids for $280 million. The purchase includes various subsidiaries of Oneworld like Apparel Production Services (APS), Unger Fabrik/Oneworld Apparel (UOW) and Star Group.

APS headquartered in Chatsworth, California, with production facilities in Latin America, provides design and manufacturing for high-performance activewear and sportswear for leading brands such as Under Armour.

UOW with headquarters in Los Angeles is a producer of trendy fashion and sells through multiple retail channels. UOW designs and merchandises apparel under a number of brands, including One World, Weavers, RAD Clothing and Rules of Etiquette.

The Star Group jointly headquartered in Hong Kong and Shanghai, is a diversified manufacturer and designer of apparel, with robust supply chain capabilities and a global distribution network. (AR)
