Operating loss in FY20 were ¥103 million compared to operating profit of ¥101 million in FY19. Ordinary profit fell 99.3 per cent to ¥1 million.

The company reported wholesale sales of ladies’ apparel, which is the mainstay area of the business, decreased 8 per cent to ¥53.8 billion. Due to increase in sales of resins and chemical products, the segment reported 0.6 per cent rise in sales to ¥5.6 billion.

Gross profit for the year were ¥11.8 billion (FY19: ¥12.4 billion). Selling, general and administrative expenses were ¥11.9 billion (FY19: ¥12.3 billion).

For the fiscal year 2021, the company forecasts ¥60 billion net sales, ¥100 million in operating profit, ¥200 million in ordinary profit, and ¥70 million in profit attributable to owners of parent. The forecast assumes that orders for the apparel & textiles segment will continue to decline during the first half of the fiscal year due to the impact of the Covid-19.
