Unisync Corp, a Canada-based provider of work wear and personal protective apparel, reported 45 per cent sales growth to $27.7 million (Canadian dollars) in second quarter (Q2) FY20 ended on March 31, 2020 compared to $19.0 million in same period prior year. Company reported a net income of $0.6 million compared to net loss of $1.3 million in Q2 FY19.

Company stated that UGL segment revenues jumped 43 per cent to $22.8 million (Q2 FY19: $15.9 million) during the quarter due to large part to revenues derived from a continuation of the US launch of new corporate imagewear to the segment’s second largest airline account that began in September 2019.

While, increase in the Peerless segment to $4.9 million ($3.1 million) was due to a poor second quarter last year when results were negatively effected by delays in the receipt of technical fabrics and production capacity issues at sub-contractors, as company reported in a press release.
