US running apparel start-up Rockay, which, after being founded last year, only manufactured socks and focused on making its products 100 per cent recycled, is now ready to venture into apparel like tights and jackets as well, according to founder Daniel Chabert Pfefferkorn, who said about half of the yarn used is generated from ocean waste.

The company spent a year developing the yarn from ocean plastic waste, which is pooled by its partner Aquafil, Pfefferkorn told Fibre2Fashion in an interview.
