Campus California favors curb pick-up of recycled apparel

Campus California emphasizes the donating of clothing as opposed to throwing it away. “Putting unwanted clothing in collection bins helps to keep it out of landfills and protects the Earth,” says a representative of the organization. “And for us, it is a major source of fundraising. As long as the clothing is only gently worn and not worn out, we can resell it. These funds allow us to help fight against poverty.”

Campus California is a non-profit organization that was formed in 2000. It aims to help those affected by poverty and global climate change. The program keeps clothing out of landfills and puts it to better use. Their mission is to support sustainability projects and work toward California’s solid waste reduction goals.
