Australia's apparel imports rise 7.3% to $7.28 bn in Jul-Apr FY25

Imports of textile yarn, fabrics, and made-up articles (classified under code **) rose by *.** per cent, reaching Au$*.*** billion (~$*.*** billion) in the first ten months of the current fiscal, compared to Au$*.*** billion in the same period last fiscal. Conversely, fibre imports (classified under code **) fell to Au$** million, down from Au$*** million during the period under review.

In April ****, imports of apparel and clothing accessories increased by **.** per cent to Au$*.*** billion, up from Au$*.*** billion in April ****. Imports of textile yarn, fabrics, made-up articles, and related products rose to Au$*** million, compared to Au$*** million in April ****. Fibre imports remained steady at Au$** million, the same as in April ****.
