Cambodia's apparel exports down 20.47% to $4,469 mn in Jan-Jul 2023

During the period under review, Cambodia&#**;s exports of apparel and clothing accessories (knitted) (Chapter **) were $*,***.*** million, **.* per cent lower than the exports worth $*,***.*** million during the corresponding period of ****. The country&#**;s exports of apparel and clothing accessories (not knitted) (Chapter **) dropped by **.* per cent to $*,***.*** million. In January-July ****, the country exported apparel worth $*,***.*** million in this category. The decline in shipments reflects sluggish demand in the global market. 

In July ****, Cambodia&#**;s apparel exports declined by **.* per cent to $***.*** million compared to the shipment of $*,***.*** million in the corresponding month of ****. The shipment of apparel and clothing accessories (knitted) slipped ** per cent to $***.*** million from $***.*** million during the same period last year. But the exports of apparel and clothing accessories (not knitted) eased **.* per cent to $***.*** million in July ****.
