Turkiye's apparel exports dip 1.12% YoY, but May 2023 shows 27% growth

The export of knitted and crocheted clothing and accessories (HS chapter **) accounted for $*.*** billion during January-May ****, which is a decrease of *.* per cent from the $*.*** billion in the same period the previous year. On the other hand, non-knitted apparel, and accessories (HS chapter **) were valued at $*.*** billion, showing an increase of *.* per cent compared to the $*.*** billion in exports during January-May ****. 

In May ****, the latest month for which data is available, Turkiye&#**;s total exports of both knitted and non-knitted clothing and accessories soared by **.** per cent to $*.*** billion, compared to $*.*** billion in May ****. The exports of knitted and crocheted clothing and accessories increased by **.* per cent, reaching $***.*** million in May ****, compared to $***.*** million in the corresponding period the previous year. Additionally, the shipment of non-knitted apparel and accessories also saw a rise of **.* per cent, from $***.*** million in May **** to $***.*** million in May ****.
