Turkey has planned to do away with paper and minimize bureaucracy as about 99.5 percent of customs related transactions will be computerized by 2006.

Electronic customs duty implementation system was launched in Gemlik, one of the ports at the city of Bursa, by Kursat Tuzmen, Turkish State Minister for Foreign Trade.

The installation of electronic system was made possible with support of Turkish Exporters Assembly.
