Coral Soff'wares Ltd, a reputed name in packaged software industry delivering premium business application software targeted towards the SME segment formally launched their latest state-of-the-art product, CORAL erp. The product has been developed keeping in mind the current and future requirements of the small and medium sector trades and industries.
While launching the software, Mr. Prem Chand Kankaria, the Managing Director & CEO of the company said, “the product has been developed with a vision to empower the Indian SME segment companies to manage their growth by challenging the usual limitations posed by technology.”
Head market Vidya Sankar at Coral, further added, "In the first two years, we will pump in $5.1m (INR 20 crore) in marketing efforts. We propose to do business of $12.6 (INR 50 crore) by 2010."
SME - the fastest growing segment in IT spending with an overall size of 3.16 million- has invested 80 % of their enterprise software outlay in ERP in 2006. Besides, the overall spending on enterprise software by SME is projected to grow in healthy double digit and Coral is targeting a respectable share of ERP market from this emergent segment.
ERP – (Enterprise Resource Planning) as the name suggests is an enterprise application software that integrates all the departments, divisions and locations of an enterprise under a single database which enables real time information sharing among these and – as a result- helps in better resource planning and optimum utilization thereof, for better profitability and customer satisfaction.
Explaining the features of the product, Mr. Kankaria said, “CORAL erp is anyway configurable and highly scalable end to end Enterprise Software Solution and any business vertical can be developed on the CORAL erp architecture, which is almost code free, hence moldable to the ever changing business dynamics of any enterprise.”
