The Handweavers Guild of America opens CONVERGENCE 2006 conference from June 25 to July 1, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The American Tapestry Alliance is sponsoring several tapestry-related events and there are several tapestry-oriented exhibitions. The on-line registration deadline has been extended to June 9, 2006.
RETREAT: At last check, Mary Lane reports that there were two spots left in ATA's educational retreat, “The Way In:
Exploring New Strategies for Tapestry Design.” The deadline was June 1.
SLIDE SLAM: The deadline for the slide slam that is part of ATA's special interest Forum, Exhibitions: From A to Z, was June 1, 2006.
MEETING: The American Tapestry Alliance, Inc. will hold a Biannual General Meeting on Saturday, July 1, 2006 at 12:35 p.m. in the DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
