A collection of 20 years, 'Magic Carpets', of the Middle Eastern is being exhibited up to September 12, 2006, numbering around 40 samples at the Holland Area Arts Council.
They are mostly Iranian-Persian treasures, which are a visually luxurious, informative, unfolding, as to how the carpets are made and highlighting the properties clout.
Ester, in Cairo, Egypt is an important weaving center for carpets but Persian carpets have eco-friendly dyes, with no contaminant effect in the entire process.
Colors are derived from natural sources like red from madder; yellow from pomegranate and chamomile, blue from indigo, black from acorn cups and oak bark.
Persian people have a strong tendency to return to the way they have done things for centuries.
