Carpet exports earned around US $195.59 million during the first six months of the Iranian year, representing slight year-on-year decrease of two percent.
While 22.8 percent of hand-woven rugs were exported to the US pouring in over $44.68 million, Germany accounted for $31.37 million.
Carpet exports to UAE and Italy earned $17.3 and $16.38 million respectively.
Entire hand-woven carpet exports to the US, UAE, Germany, Italy and Japan were worth $125.55 million, accounting for 64 percent of the total product income.
