Persian carpets are made from wool or silk or a mix of both. It takes many people and much hard work to manufacture a carpet completely. Price of a carpet depends on its design, pattern as well as the number of threads and knots used in the process of weaving.
These carpets are elegant and outstanding, with an origin 400 years old. According to Al-Dashti, the oldest Persian carpets belong to Shiraz.
