A new 'Art To Walk On Inc' gallery has been launched by Eileen Hampshire at 64 Street Palm Avenue, Sarasota. It showcases antique hand-woven carpets, which have unmatched quality.
Hampshire will arrange sessions at the center to teach rug history, structure, designs and dyes. She acts as curator for museum rug exhibitions, lectures audiences at carpet expos and is also a rug historian. She deals in modern carpets as well as traditional ones.
She was seeking advice from interior designers and architects on collecting rare antique carpets in 1988. It was then that she established Art To Walk On Inc at Montreal in Quebec.
