Recently, Zhuji Huazhong Socks Co Ltd the exported 180,000 carpets made from over 1000 tons of the leftover materials of Datong Socks Company.

Statistics show that the leftover material from a pair of socks is around 1.5 grams.

If Datong manufactures about nine billion pairs of socks a year, then, it will have nearly 13,500 tons of the leftover materials. So this has been a big problem for the company.

Last year, the board chairman of Zhuji Huazhong Socks Co found that leftover materials of the socks can be used to make carpets, which attracted huge export orders.

Thus, he finally invested RMB4.5 million to set up a carpet factory.

If Zhuji Huazhong Ltd creates10,000 pieces of carpets, it requires 3.5 tons of the leftover materials.
