Hand-woven carpet exports from Iran rose in volume as well as value in the period in the Persian calendar month of Farvardin (March 21-April 20), when corresponded with the same period of the previous year.
Iranian Customs reported that the export volume of carpets hand-woven carpets rose from 168 tons in the month of Farvardin in the previous year to 184 tons in the month under consideration, which translates into a growth of 9 percent.
When considering value, hand-woven carpet export value smartly grew by 12 percent, from US $12.3 million last year to $13.8 million in Farvardin month this year.
