India’s Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) recently initiated an investigation into imports of calcium carbonate filler masterbatch (CFM) originating in or exported from Vietnam following complaints of these being imported at subsidised prices in significant quantities for a prolonged period, causing material injury to domestic players.The complainants are the Compounds and Masterbatch Manufacturers Association of India (CMMAI) and the Masterbatch Manufacturers Association (MMA).
The period of investigation is from April 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, i.e., 15 months. The injury investigation period is April 1, 2020, to March 31, 2021; April 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022; April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023; and the period of investigation.
