India's Clean Fino-Chem begins commercial production of BHT

Clean Fino-Chem has commenced the commercial-scale production of Butylated Hydroxy Toluene (BHT), a widely used antioxidant in food, cosmetics, and industrial applications. BHT plays a critical role in stabilising products by preventing oxidative deterioration. This milestone strengthens Clean Fino-Chem’s position as a key supplier in the specialty chemicals market. The company’s focus on maintaining high-quality standards and efficient production processes is expected to boost its competitive edge in both domestic and global markets. 

Commercialisation of BHT, an anti-oxidant, will enable the company to acquire a key position in antioxidant supply chain with existing product basket of Butylated Hydroxy Anisole (BHA), Tertiary Butyl Hydroquinone (TBHQ) and Ascorbyl Palmitate (AP). The company will be manufacturing BHT on campaign basis in existing facility thereby leveraging existing fixed asset base.
