US, Asia-Pacific: BASF raises acrylic monomer prices

BASF SE has announced price increases for select acrylic monomers in North America and Asia-Pacific, citing continued cost pressures related to logistics, energy, and regulatory compliance.

In North America, BASF Corporation will raise selling prices for the following products effective April 1, 2026, where contracts permit:

  • Butyl Acrylate: Increase of $0.03 per pound
  • 2-Ethylhexyl Acrylate: Increase of $0.03 per pound

The company stated that the adjustments are necessary to support sustainable operations amid rising production and supply chain costs.

In the Asia-Pacific region, BASF will implement a price increase of up to $100 per metric ton for:

  • Butyl Acrylate (BA)
  • 2-Ethylhexyl Acrylate (2-EHA)

The increase takes effect immediately, or in accordance with existing contractual agreements.

Butyl acrylate and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate are key raw materials used in adhesives, architectural and industrial coatings, and construction materials. BASF reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining reliable supply and delivering high standards of quality and service to customers across both regions.
