PURL Fashion Camp is an enrichment course in sewing and fashion skills that is designed to instill a passion for the art of sewing.

Whether to be future designers, fashion merchandisers and/or wardrobe stylists, this workshop was created to open horizons, enhance character and confidence, along with team building and life long skills.

The founder/designer of PURL Los Angeles - Exclusive designs by Sharmooz, Ann Tillage directed the fashion camp and was assisted by Wardrobe Stylist Candra Eloise and community volunteers. The class consisted of girls age11-17 from underserved communities of modest income families.

Participants enjoyed lunch provided by Raising Canes, sewing machines by All Brands Sewing Co. and was held within the local YMCA. LaCare Louisiana and other donators provided fabric, sewing notions, and other materials. Photographs distributed by Jerrold Oatis Photography.
