Contracts with international customers amounting to $300,000 have been signed by the Viet Tien Garment Company, said company Director Nguyen Dinh Truong.
Garment designers were trained to understand the international trends and come out with improved creations.
Viet Tien had to train and improve the capacity of designers and fully understand global fashion trends, Truong added.
The firm has decided to promote its products using the Vee Sendy trademark.
The Sai Gon Garment Company 2, Chairman Ngo Trung Kien, said the company earned around VND40 billion ($2.5 million) through sales of Sanding goods which helped them to earn one third of its total turnover.
An increase in net profits of local enterprises has been due to adding value to design. This claim is justified, as shirts made by An Phuoc or Viet Tien companies may sell for VND500,000-700,000, whereas an ordinary shirt may cost VND20,000.
General Secretary of the Taiwanese Textile and Garment Alliance Justin Huang said Taiwan had the same difficulty, so they sent their designers to foreign countries for training.
