Luxury goods retailers delighted with Chinese consumers

Luxury goods retailers are ecstatic with the amount of money spent by consumers of Chinese origin when traveling abroad.

Chinese consumers traveling abroad spent as much as 56 percent of their total spends on luxury goods, says a report.

In 2011, the Chinese bought luxury goods amounting to US $13 billion mainly from the European and US markets.

The Chinese consumers mainly prefer clothing, fashion goods, watches, leather goods and cosmetics and perfumes.
