A famous clothing item worn by the late English musician George Harrison, celebrated widely for his unforgettable role as the lead guitarist of the popular English rock band The Beatles, will be auctioned at the London-based fine art auctioneering venue Bonhams on December 12, 2012.

The collector’s item, which is a black-coloured leather jacket, is expected to fetch a whopping sum of around £120,000 at the auction.

The jacket, which is believed to have initiated the popular ‘leather look’ trend, was worn by the late Beatles member during the band’s high-voltage music performances at The Cavern Club in Liverpool and Hamburg between the years 1960 and 1962.

The garment worn by legendary musician will also be on display for ten days at The Beatles Story museum in Liverpool, before it goes for auction.

The late singer and songwriter George Harrison worked as a successful film producer and philanthropist after the band split-up in 1970.
