Miss World Fiji organizers unveil four costume designs

The organizers of the Miss World Fiji have unveiled four costume designs, one of which would be chosen by the public as the national dress to be worn by Miss World Fiji at the 63rd Miss World pageant in September this year.
 
The four costumes called earth, fire, water and wind are themed around climate change, and have been put together by several Fijian designers, including Aisea Konrote and Sonam Sapra.
 
In addition to portraying climate change, the costumes express Fijian traditions while at the same time would also apparel to international audiences.
 
The dress, to be chosen via sms poll, would be worn by Caireen Erbsleben at the ‘Dances of the World’, to be held as part of the event in Indonesia.
 
The outfits have colourful designs and prints, as well as flavours of magimagi, masi, pearls and shells.
 
The outcome of the public poll would be declared on July 22.
 
At the 62nd Miss World pageant held in Mongolia last year, Fiji opened ‘Dances of the World’, which represents best costume for Miss World.
