Despite lack of natural resources, textiles & garment exports grow

Natural resources of the country are not enough for textile and garment industry as they import raw materials from Asian countries.
The two industries imported fabrics worth $307 million during the first two months, this year. Imports were dominated by export oriented countries like China and Taiwan with the year-on-year increase of 41 percent.
While, a rise of 107 percent was also recorded in label imports, worth $15 million from three key exporting countries: Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan was registeered during the same period.
