Hygiene & well being brands owner Kimberly-Clark shifts gears

Kimberly-Clark Co, world's leading hygiene and well being brand owner, has introduced change in its policy to suit Chinese market.

Holding third position in global non-weaving cloth industry, the company has started investing in Chinese market since 1990 without much in returns.

It has invested more than RMB1 billion, however, the sale was on the wane.

Despite this failure, company has no plans of quitting China as it is considers it as "very important."

Facing this situation, Kimberly-Clark, China decided to raise the products' quality, promote its products and brands throuhg a slew of ads, besides setting up their own factories.

Last year, company's new factory in Nanjing city went on stream, and plans to start another factory in Beijing this September, sources said.
