At the begining of 2006, Zhenze won the title of flax silk spinning town of Beijing.
Zhenze town is one of the 28 towns of Jiangsu province where clothing industry flourishes.
Other towns are also involved in clothing manufacturing; Gaoyiu town produces down clothing, in Yangzhou, shirt-making units are active, in Zhangjiagan town, most factories produce woven clothing.
To face international competition, the local government is forming new industry chain with high-technology.
