Ministry of Trade reported that exports of Kimono suits rose slightly, in the first five months 2006.
Japan retained the top market position for these products alongwith the US, the EU and Mexico.
Exports turnover to the new markets recorded a modest growth-rate accounting for one percent of the total exports turnover.
Sales to these markets is expected to rise in the coming times, industrial experts pointed out.
It is noteworthy that number of enterprises exporting the Kimono suit of Vietnam, increased to 33 in the January-May 2006 period, up from 22 in 2005.
