Henan, Zhengzhou, garment industry achieved rapid development in the past three years, chiefly supported by women's pants business, which has emerged as pillar for the garment industry in the province.
At present, centered in Zhengzhou, Henan has formed a number of woman's pants brands, with more than 500 companies engaged in production, and the trend continues to grow.
The annual output value of women's trousers in Zhengzhou has reached over 45 billion yuan, accounting for half of the national women's pants industry.
In addition, Zhengzhou has more than 100 enterprises that produce men's trousers.
The garment production of Henan province reached 200 million pieces in 2005. Henan cost-effectiveness of textile and garment industry represented the fastest growth rate in the country.
Zhengzhou has formed a local downtown commodity circle around Yinji wholesale market. At present, Zhengzhou has 24 wholesale markets, 12 retail shopping centers and over 1,000 special sales shops. These markets attract a lot of the clothing brand dealers and distributors, and has greatly spurred the development of the local garment industry.
