After completing a research costing $2 million, a popular leather fashion chain of Turkey, Derimod, has found an alternative to wearing heavy weighed jackets. The company has designed a latest product, an unique 690 gram leather jacket.

Commonly referred to as 'Derimod 690', the jacket is a product of nano-leather technology. Global warming leading to meeker winters have prompted people to give up on heavy and burdensome leather jackets and thus comes in handy, Derimod 690.

Derimod's research and development team worked in collaboration with Italian fashion industry. By adhering to the organic tanning method, they worked on reducing leather weight to nearly 50%. Best selling brands like Prada, Gucci and Armani are also seeking to take advantage of this latest technology.

Derimod is expected to open newer outlets in the country, and also plans to open chains in international markets in the near future.
