Poloppo Inc, a socially conscious design company dedicated to cultivating creativity in children, announced the debut of their Wearable Art :: by Kids collection. This collection of high quality and stylish apparel for babies, kids and adults prominently features artwork of top child artists from around the world, using innovative appliqué techniques.
Fresh, whimsical and often poignant, their artworks reflect powerful voices imbued with insight, wit, and wisdom. From onesies, to original raglan tees, aprons, and dresses, Poloppo products infuse our lives with the clearest vision of the future – that of the children of the world.
Poloppo is the first company to empower child artists by paying royalties directly on products sold displaying their work. The first collection of Wearable Art :: By Kids displays child art from New Zealand, Serbia, Zimbabwe, Malaysia and Great Britain, as well as the US.
Poloppo will contribute 5% of its revenue(a) to art schools and art scholarships for underprivileged children in Africa, Asia and South America. Poloppo customers may further cultivate creativity in children all over the world by donating directly to the International Child Art Foundation [ icaf.org ] through a link on the Poloppo website.
By amplifying the voices of the world's children through their unique expression in art, Poloppo hopes to further inspire creative strength in coming generations and encourage “grown-ups” to listen.
“We are very pleased to launch our first collection, but this is just the beginning for Poloppo,” said Cherie Aarts Coley, co-founder and CEO. “We are focused on producing the highest quality clothing featuring the best children's artwork we can identify. With more collections in active development and the support of our fiercely loyal customer base, we will continue empowering child artists the world over.”
