A thriving textile shop in Jalan Sultan Abdul Samad, existing for the past 95 years, was crumpled into ashes after being seized by blazing fire on November 1.
A loss of MYR800,000 worth sarees and other marketable accessories was incurred when the Narashibhai saree outlet burnt down with two other adjacent shops.
The mishap occurred at 9.45 in the morning and devastated the entire stock piled up for the Diwali festive season by the owner.
