Prison made clothing finds buyers in Sweden

A state-owned Latvian textile and clothing firm which operates its factories inside prisons has been able to bag orders from Swedish retailers to supply outdoor clothing and accessories.

These orders have come after a long period of negotiating and convincing the Swedish buyers, who were optimistic of the quality as well as SRC Brasa; the state owned company sticking to delivery schedules.

Brasa specializes in supplying, field uniforms, water-proof garments, thermal wear, caps, gloves and outdoor clothing. These products are manufactured in Ilguciems and Brasa prisons and employ around 250 people.
