“We see Kenya and Ethiopia growing by 25 per cent while the Sri Lankan operations continue to build on their expertise to become the technical hub for the group,” Paranamana said in an interview to Fibre2Fashion.
As part of its activities related to sustainability, Hela has done Higg Index assessment for five out of the nine factories in Sri Lanka and the factories in Africa as well, he said.
The company has 12 factories in four countries — one each in Kenya, Ethiopia and Mexico and the remaining in Sri Lanka. (DS)
