The first technical textile park in India’s western state of Maharashtra is being set up in Kaudgaon in the Dharashiv (formerly Osmanabad) district.

It will come up on 308 acres in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation complex at Kaudgaon at a budget of ₹1.18 million. The initial work has already begun.

Over 150 medium and small-scale industries will be developed in the Tamlwadi Industrial Area in the district, the Maharashtra government said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Industrial zones are being planned in the Shiradhon-Kalamb Industrial Area ands more jobs are being created in the Siddheshwar-Vadgaon Industrial Area.
