Bahamas Development Corporation (BDC) will acquire the operations and distribution channels of a performance lifestyle apparel company, which specialises in wholesale and retail sportswear for women.

According to BDC, the company markets products under its own trademark brand, while its quality is comparable to or better than other well-known brands with higher price points.

“The company has continuous innovation of new designs to generate repeat purchases, with a focus in online events and flash sales,” BDC said.

BDC added that the rise in athleisure has given apparel sales a significant boost in the last couple of years.

Quoting Morgan Stanley, BRC informed that by 2020, activewear will represent $83 billion in US sales, by plucking market share from non-athletic apparel.

BDC will purchase 100 per cent of all classes of stock of the seller, all trademarks, all assets, and all current and future business operations of the seller. (AR)
