Switzerland-based group of brands Fenix Outdoor International has reported a total income of €321.6 million (approximately $348.9 million) in the first half of fiscal 2024 (H1 FY24), which represents a 5.4 per cent decrease from €340 million in the same period last year. The EBITDA for H1 FY24 was €34.4 million, a decline from €44.7 million in the previous year.

The operating result stood at €6.3 million, a notable decrease from €17.2 million. The result before tax was €4.0 million, compared to €18.9 million last year. The group reported a loss after tax of €0.6 million, a sharp decline from a profit of €11 million in the first half of FY23. Earnings per share amounted to minus €0.05, down from €0.83, the company said in a press release.

In the second quarter of fiscal 2024, from April 1 to June 30, 2024, Fenix Outdoor International reported a total income of €153.0 million, which is a 3.3 per cent decrease from €158.2 million in the same period last year. The EBITDA for Q2 FY24 was €7.2 million, down from €13.5 million. The operating result for the quarter was minus €6.5 million, compared to €0.1 million in the previous year.

The result before tax for Q2 FY24 was minus €7.4 million, compared to €2.6 million last year. The result after tax was minus €7.5 million, a significant decrease from €0.5 million in the second quarter of FY23. Earnings per share for the quarter amounted to minus €0.56, down from €0.05.
