Rice may earn price with proposed use in cosmetics

Paddy is scheduled to get a pad on is back as it is about to witness versatility in use. It will not only be used in consumption but also in cosmetics production in future as Muda Agricultural Development Authority (MADA) has tied up with a company to use it for the same .
Kedah Besar Kedah Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid, Chairman of MADA said they had given their consent to the proposal by a company to make rice-based cosmetic products.
Plans of the agreement were not revealed but he informed that there were many interested parties keen to produce the same.
