According to a recent survey among cotton textile enterprises conducted by China Cotton Information Network, sales difficulties made cotton mills less interested in new cotton purchase.

The survey was conducted on cotton spinning mills, with a combined spindlage of 12.30 million spindles.

The survey revealed that, though cotton price slightly stabilized in early June, the mills were not keen to purchase fresh inventories of cotton.

According to the survey, 61 percent of the surveyed enterprises had lower stocks than normal, while the rest reported a marginal increase in cotton stocks.
