Sirsa district in Haryana state has bagged the honour of having the second highest cotton acreage across all the districts in India.
Cotton has been cultivated on around 210,000 hectares.
Though, there was a delay in distribution of Bt cotton seeds, the cotton crop has flowered well, thanks to the timely rains.
