The price of cotton in China's domestic market had dipped by almost 40 percent in the last six months, according to statistics.

The domestic price of cotton in China was around 18,000 Yuan/ton in September 2010, which then increased to cross the 30,000 Yuan/ton mark in March 2011.

However, the price has been declining since April this year and has dropped to about 20,000 Yuan/ton.
