Chinese govt cotton reserves ascend

On December 8, China National Cotton Reserves Corporation purchased 37,010 tons of cotton against a plan to purchase 125,700 tons. Daily trading volume rose 450 tons compared with the previous day.

Of which, the cotton warehouse in Xinjiang purchased 22,400 tons against a plan of 65,000 tons, while the Inland warehouse transacted cotton purchase totaling to 14,610 against a plan of 60,700 tons.

As of December 8, 2011, purchases against the reserves plan reached 1.32 million tons in total, of which, 916,120 tons was from Xinjiang, and 410,490 tons was Inland cotton.
